Tanks Deployed To Guard Obama-Supported Dictator Morsi

CAIRO — The Egyptian military’s elite Republican Guard deployed tanks and barbed-wire barricades around the presidential palace to restore order Thursday after violent clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi rocked his fledgling government.
Thousands of Morsi supporters from the powerful Muslim Brotherhood organization heeded the Guard’s mid-afternoon deadline to withdraw from the area, but scores of opponents — kept at a distance by the barricades — continued to demonstrate across the street from the palace, chanting slogans against the Islamist president.
The overnight clashes, in which Egypt’s divided and angry revolutionaries battled each other with rocks, molotov cocktails, sticks and clubs, left the capital on edge and raised concerns about the stability of the country’s first democratically elected government and its relationship with the military.
The commander of the Republican Guard, Maj. Gen. Mohamed Zaki, said his forces were deployed to separate the demonstrators, not suppress them, the official Middle East News Agency reported.
In Washington, a senior Obama administration official said the military so far appears to be playing a neutral role in the upheaval.
“We have not seen any cracks” in Morsi’s relationship with the military, said the official, who was not authorized to speak on the record. “They’ve been careful to stay out of it.”
The presence of troops and tanks around the presidential palace, the official said, is seen in Washington as an effort to protect the compound and prevail upon demonstrators to stand down. “I wouldn’t make too big a deal of the military being out now,” the official said.
In talks with U.S. officials this week, a high-level Egyptian delegation had indicated that the government was preparing to make a gesture of “outreach” to the opposition, the official said. The delegation’s trip was originally scheduled to discuss plans for a Morsi visit to Washington on Dec. 17. That visit has now been postponed, at the request of the Egyptian government.
The fighting between Morsi’s Islamist supporters and his secular, liberal and non-Islamist opponents stems from a political crisis unleashed Nov. 22, when Morsi issued a decree giving himself near-absolute power in the name of speeding the country’s turbulent democratic transition.
By Thursday afternoon, at least three of Morsi’s advisers had resigned over the decree, and Egypt’s influential al-Azhar University, a seat of moderate Islam, was calling on Morsi to rescind it.
At the presidential palace, soldiers from the elite Guard units — which are tasked with protecting Morsi — set up a barbed-wire perimeter and deployed seven tanks and about 10 smaller armored trucks with guns. Dozens of black-uniformed riot police huddled against the walls of the compound, as some opposition protesters shouted taunts at the soldiers across the barbed-wire coils.  Keep reading >>

Obama’s Impotence in the Face of Muslim Brotherhood Coup

Events in Egypt continue to deteriorate. On Wednesday, rival groups of protesters clashed outside the presidential palace in Cairo, when Muslim Brotherhood supporters of President Mohamed Morsi confronted 300 opposition members who were staging a sit-in. The protesters were initially routed, but after a lull in fighting, hundreds of young Egyptians returned to the scene and a violent exchange of firebombs and rocks ensued. Gunshots were also fired, and more than 211 were injured, medical sources reported. The violence marks the worst outbreak of unrest in the deepening crisis centered on Egypt’s new draft constitution, scheduled to be put to a vote December 15.
By nightfall Wednesday, more than 10,000 members of the Muslim Brotherhood had massed around the palace, setting up metal barricades to keep traffic off a stretch of road that runs parallel to the palace in Cairo’s upscale Heliopolis district. A banner saying, “May God protect Egypt and its president,” was posted on a truck the Brotherhood brought with them. On top of the truck, a man with a loudspeaker began reciting verses from the Quran. Chants from the Islamist crowd also began to fill the air. “The people want to cleanse the square” and “Morsi has legitimacy,” they intoned, according to AFP news agency. The fighting extended into Thursday morning, after riot police tried and failed to separate opposing forces. When police failed to ease tension on the streets, residents took matters into their own hands, erecting makeshift road blocks to check passers-by.
The latest round of protests is apparently an escalation of Tuesday’s violence, when anti-Morsi supporters descended on the palace, and police fired tear gas to stop their approach. Morsi was inside conducting business, but he left when the crowds “grew bigger,” according to a presidential official who spoke on condition of anonymity. By Wednesday, the protests had spread beyond Cairo, and offices of the Muslim Brotherhood’s political party in Ismailia and Suez were torched.  More >>

Egypt's Morsi flees palace as protesters battle cops

Updated at 7:58 a.m. ET: CAIRO -- Egyptian police battled thousands of protesters outside President Mohammed Morsi's palace in Cairo on Tuesday, prompting the Islamist leader to leave the building, presidency sources said.
Officers fired tear gas at up to 10,000 demonstrators angered by Morsi's drive to hold a referendum on a new constitution on December 15. The Associated Press reported that some protesters broke through barbed wire around the building and hurled chairs and rocks at retreating police on Tuesday night.
The crowds had gathered in what organizers had dubbed "last warning" protests against Morsi, who infuriated opponents with a November 22 decree that expanded his powers. "The people want the downfall of the regime," the demonstrators chanted.
"The president left the palace," a presidential source, who declined to be named, told Reuters. A security source at the presidency also said the president had departed.
Morsi returned to work at the presidential palace on Wednesday morning, an aide later told Reuters.
The Muslim Brotherhood also called for a rally backing Morsi outside the palace on Wednesday and leftists planned a counter-demonstration, raising fears of clashes in a crisis over a disputed push for a new constitution. More >>

Meet “Allah Morsi” Shariah Law Rules & pedophilia legalised in Egypt’s New Constitution

The Muslim Way/ Assad Elepty
Immediately after Mubarak was deposed, the prohibition barring the Muslim Brotherhood from participating in politics was lifted.
The Brotherhood immediately commenced there acts of deception, they dropped their decades old slogan “ISLAM IS THE SOLUTION” and formed the “FJP” freedom & Justice Party.
morsi-fires-all-heads-of-military-in-egypt-islamist-takeover-complete
He may wear a suit but this rag head is going down
On face value it appeared a positive move, in reality it was a craft cunning act of deception, the Islamists definition of FREEDOM & JUSTICE is strictly limited to SHARIA laws. In essence, their stance is, “we only respect those freedoms and exercise Justice according to Shariah law” not “western style democracy of Freedom and Justice”.   (complete article below)
The recent “constitutional declaration” by Egyptian president Morsi has resulted in disgust and uproar in Egyptian society. The new president has put himself above the Law bestowing “ALLAH status upon himself”. Morsi has seized control of all three branches of the government: Executive, Legislative and Judicial, replicating dictators throughout history.
Egyptians reacted with outrage, the 2nd revolution has commenced with massive protests; hundreds of thousands filled major squares in Cairo and other cities. Leftist, liberal, and independent groups called for Friday protests to reject this so-called “constitutional declaration.”
Morsi has cornered himself, he asserts he does not respect the decisions of the Supreme Constitutional Court and has barred them from ruling on the validity of the constitutional panel. His dilemma is he now conveniently chooses to distrust and reject the current legal system of the country, opening the door for the people to likewise disregard the results of the elections which brought him to power, as they were declared by the very same legal system and courts.
In Alexandria On Saturday 1/12/2012 Morsi’s decision resulted in wide spread violence, Salafist youth and MB members attacked secular and liberal protestors in running street battles. Morsi has been roundly condemned; the Muslim Brotherhood offices across the nation have been raided and in many cases set on fire.
For the first time in Egyptian history, the judges of the Court of Appeals went on strike in defiance of the new dictatorial declaration.  Members of the Muslim Brotherhood have defended the president’s decision by resorting to a level of violence resulting in over 500 serious injuries and at least 4 people dead.
The election results that brought the MB president to power belies the reality that only 45% of eligible voters participated in the elections and most Egyptians are now turning against both Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. More >>

Egypt's Morsi, moved quickly to contain the damage

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
After encountering a wave of protests in response to a decree from Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi that would have raised his edicts above judicial review, Morsi moved quickly to contain the damage. NBC's Ayman Mohyeldin reports.
CAIRO — Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and top Egyptian judges on Monday moved to defuse a crisis in the country, with both side backing down from a battle over Morsi’s sweeping self-appointed powers.
Coming out of emergency meetings in Cairo, Morsi issued a statement in which he agreed that only his decisions related to "sovereign" matters would be protected from judicial review, his spokesman said, indicating he had accepted a compromise proposed by the judiciary members.
On Thursday Morsi alarmed Egyptians and international observers when he decreed sweeping powers for himself that effectively would automatically make all of his rulings lawful and immune to judicial review.
The seeming power grab prompted tens of thousands of Egyptians to take to the streets to protest, some clashing with police, for the past four nights.
Morsi’s four-point statement issued Monday says that only "sovereign decisions" — for instance, those related to declaring war and dealing with existential threats — would fall under the decree. Even those powers would only apply until there is a new constitution and fresh parliamentary elections, expected in two months.
The statement went on to express respect for the "immunity and independence" of the judiciary. It also qualified his earlier call for a retrial of former regime officials — including dictator Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted in February 2011 after three decades in power. Such retrials would occur only if new evidence emerged, the statement said.
Morsi was propelled to power by the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist group that had long struggled against the Mubarak regime.
The judges did not release their own statement but the presidential spokesman said that they had approved the compromise.
Shortly after a presidential spokesman read the statement on Egyptian TV, the Muslim Brotherhood — the parent organization of Morsi’s Freedom & Justice Party — issued its own statement, calling off its planned 'millionya' — or 'million man march' — "until further notice." Their rally, in support of Morsi, had been slated for Tuesday.

The Muslim Brotherhood has scheduled Oct. 10 for the start of mass protests against King Abdullah II and ordered its members to start mobilizing at least 50,000 demonstrators for daily demonstrations until he bows to their will. The king has until then to accept the MB’s demand for Jordan’s transition to a constitutional monarchy and electoral reform. debkafile also reports. Israel is worried about the Arab Spring throwing up another Islamist state next door. Saudi royals fear they are next in line.

Towards a worldwide strategy for Islamic policy
(Points of Departure, Elements, Procedures and Missions)

This report presents a global vision of a worldwide strategy for Islamic policy [or
"political Islam"]. Local Islamic policies will be drawn up in the different regions in
accordance with its guidelines. It acts, first of all, to define the points of departure of
that policy, then to set up the components and the most important procedures linked to
each point of departure; finally we suggest several missions, by way of example only,
may Allah protect us.

The following are the principal points of departure of this policy:
Point of Departure 1: To know the terrain and adopt a scientific methodology
for its planning and execution.

Point of Departure 2: To demonstrate proof of the serious nature of the work.
Point of Departure 3: To reconcile international engagement with flexibility at
a local level.

Point of Departure 4: To reconcile political engagement and the necessity of
avoiding isolation on one hand, with permanent education and institutional action on
the other.

Point of Departure 5: To be used to establish an Islamic State; parallel,
progressive efforts targeted at controlling the local centers of power through
institutional action.

Point of Departure 6: To work with loyalty alongside Islamic groups and
institutions in multiple areas to agree on common ground, in order to "cooperate on
the points of agreement and set aside the points of disagreement".

Point of Departure 7: To accept the principle of temporary cooperation
between Islamic movements and nationalist movements in the broad sphere and on
common ground such as the struggle against colonialism, preaching and the Jewish
state, without however having to form alliances.
This will require, on the other hand,
limited contacts between certain leaders, on a case by case basis, as long as these
contacts do not violate the [shari’a] law. Nevertheless, one must not give them
allegiance or take them into confidence, bearing in mind that the Islamic movement
must be the origin of the initiatives and orientations taken.
Point of Departure 8: To master the art of the possible on a temporary basis
without abusing the basic principles, bearing in mind that Allah's teachings always
apply.
One must order the suitable and forbid that which is not, always providing a
documented opinion. But we should not look for confrontation with our adversaries,
at the local or the global scale, which would be disproportionate and could lead to
attacks against the dawa or its disciples.
Point of Departure 9: To construct a permanent force of the Islamic dawa and
support movements engaged in jihad across the Muslim world, to varying degrees and
insofar as possible.

Point of Departure 10: To use diverse and varied surveillance systems, in
several places
, to gather information and adopt a single effective warning system
serving the worldwide Islamic movement. In fact, surveillance, policy decisions and
effective communications complement each other.
Point of Departure 11: To adopt the Palestinian cause as part of a worldwide
Islamic plan
, with the policy plan and by means of jihad, since it acts as the keystone
of the renaissance of the Arab world today.
Point of Departure 12: To know how to turn to self-criticism and permanent
evaluation of worldwide Islamic policy and its objectives, of its content and its
procedures, in order to improve it
. This is a duty and a necessity according to the
precepts of shari’a.

THE FIRST POINT OF DEPARTURE:
Know the terrain and adopt a scientific methodology for [The Project's] planning and
execution.
a- Elements:
Know the influential factors in the world, whether they act as Islamic forces,
adverse forces, or neutral forces.
Use the necessary scientific and technical means for planning, organization,
execution and follow-up.
b- Procedures:
Create observation centers in order to gather and store information for all
useful purposes, if need be relying on modern technological methods.
Create centers of study and research and produce studies on the political
dimension of the Islamic movement.
c- Suggested missions:
Draw up a map of [religious and ideological] doctrines in the world to have a
global vision from 100 years ago to our era, and analyze the current situation
in light of that configuration, taking account of changes both happening and
predicted.
Draw up a map of doctrines of the Muslim world.
Draw up a map of Islamic movements in the Muslim world.
Carry out successive political and scientific studies in varying Islamic areas,
those which apply more particularly to current events.
Carry out a scientific study which addresses the history of contemporary
Islamic movements, and use it.

THE SECOND POINT OF DEPARTURE
To demonstrate proof of the serious nature of the work.
a- Elements:
Clarity of the principal objectives of the dawa in the eyes of all, as well as
clarity of the temporary objectives, necessitates exploitation, channeling and
orientation of the energies.
Devote sufficient effort to the service of the workers [for Allah] and
coordinate their efforts to the sole and same objective.
Devote sufficient time.
Spend money to the extent possible.
b-Procedures:
Exploit all the energies of the workers to the service of the dawa, each at his
level (the criterion of efficiency, given that each must be devoted to the task to
which he's assigned).
Mobilize the greatest possible number of supporters and officials.
Collect money efficiently, control expenses and invest in the general interest.
c- Suggested missions:
Carry out a survey of workers (appropriate men and appropriate location)
Establish schedules with the hours of workers and specialists and use their
efforts with good judgment and on time (appropriate effort at the right time).
An engagement with economic institutions adequate to support the cause
financially.

The Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama Administration »

/

If anyone needed evidence that Hillary Clinton is in the pocket of the Muslim Brotherhood, the events of the last few days should be more than sufficient.  On the anniversary of 9/11, on what should be a day of shame for the Muslim world, the US Embassy in Cairo issued a statement condemning critics of Islamofascism in language appropriate to the office of propaganda for the Muslim Brotherhood. Islamofascists launched violent attacks on Americans, repeating the outrages in miniature of the World Trade Center attacks 11 years ago. In the face of these outrages the posture of the U.S. government is one that would make Neville Chamberlain blush. In four years Barack Obama has managed to turn the entire Middle East over to America’s enemies. So that our readers can understand how this has happened and how far advanced the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into the Obama administration has progressed, we are publishing this pamphlet by Frank Gaffney, President of the Center for Security Policy, called The Muslim Brotherhood in the Obama Administration.

The Muslim Brotherhood's Long Game

In the 18 months since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak, the Muslim Brotherhood has risen swiftly from the cave to the castle. It founded the now-dominant Freedom and Justice Party last April, won a massive plurality in the winter parliamentary elections, and, last week, celebrated as its candidate, Mohamed Morsi, won Egypt's presidential elections. After 84 years of using its nationwide social services networks to build an Islamic state in Egypt from the ground up, the Brotherhood is, for the first time, poised to shape Egyptian society from the top down.
There is, however, a catch: most of the Brotherhood's gains exist in name only. In early June, a court order invalidated the parliamentary elections and dissolved the Brotherhood-dominated parliament. Then, just prior to the second round of the presidential elections, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) issued a constitutional declaration that seized executive authority from the presidency, ultimately rendering Morsi a mostly powerless figure.
But after weeks of mounting tension with the SCAF, including mass demonstrations against the junta's power grab, the Brotherhood is dialing things down. It fears that agitating for more authority now could foment unrest and alienate a deeply divided public. It is also wary of what happened in Algeria in 1991, when the country's military-backed government responded to the electoral victory of an Islamist party with a harsh crackdown that culminated in civil war. To avoid further violence and cement its place in Egyptian politics, the Brotherhood now hopes to create a period of calm in the short run so that it can act more assertively in the future...  More >>

Syria: Muslim Brotherhood's Clandestine Revolution

(Reuters) - At a meeting of Syria's opposition, Muslim Brotherhood officials gather round Marxists colleagues, nudging them to produce policy statements for the Syrian National Council, the main political group challenging President Bashar al-Assad.
With many living in the West, and some ditching their trademark beards, it is hard to differentiate Brotherhood from leftists. But there is little dispute about who calls the shots.
From annihilation at home 30 years ago when they challenged the iron-fisted rule of Hafez al-Assad, the Brotherhood has recovered to become the dominant force of the exile opposition in the 14-month-old revolt against his son Bashar.
Careful not to undermine the council's disparate supporters, the Brotherhood has played down its growing influence within the Syrian National Council (SNC), whose public face is the secular Paris-based professor Bourhan Ghalioun.
"We chose this face, accepted by the West and by the inside. We don't want the regime to take advantage if an Islamist becomes the Syrian National Council's head," former Brotherhood leader Ali Sadreddine al-Bayanouni told supporters in a video.
The footage is now being circulated by Brotherhood opponents, seeking to highlight its undeclared power.
"We nominated Ghalioun as a front for national action. We are not moving now as Muslim Brotherhood but as part of a front that includes all currents," said Bayanouni.

The Muslim Brotherhood courts Washington

From CNN Foreign Affairs Reporter Elise Labott
WASHINGTON (CNN) – For nearly three quarters of a century, the Muslim Brotherhood was banned from Egyptian politics and shunned by the West as a fundamentalist Islamic movement.
But this week the Brotherhood sent its first official delegation to Washington, meeting with high level administration officials.
The visit was part of a global goodwill tour to soften the group’s image and introduce its political faction, the Freedom and Justice Party, which emerged from the revolution that ousted Hosni Mubarak to capture nearly half the seats in Egypt’s new parliament.
“We are here to start building bridges of understanding with the United States," Sondos Asem, a member of the party's foreign relations committee and editor of its official English-language website, told students at Georgetown University. "We acknowledge the very important role of the United States in the world and we would like our relations with the United States to be better than before."
The delegation also joined Islamist parties from Tunisia, Libya, and Morocco at a conference sponsored by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace that addressed the rise of Islamists into mainstream politics after revolutions across the Arab world swept secular, Western-backed dictators from power.
Dressed in suits, speaking English and delivering PowerPoint presentations, the delegation presented a kinder, gentler face of the Brotherhood, in an effort to counter long-held assumptions by Americans of the movement. Several held doctorate degrees from American universities.
At every turn, the group went to great lengths to portray the Brotherhood as a moderate and socially conscious movement which represents all Egyptians and believes in a pluralistic society with the separation of religion and the state.
"The principles are universal: freedom, human rights, justice for all. This is the priority of the Freedom and Justice Party," said Abdul Mawgoud Dardery, a member of Egypt’s parliament from Luxor, who earned his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh.
But U.S. officials are wondering how representative the delegation, and the moderate values they espoused during their visit, are of the conservative Brotherhood’s true beliefs.
While the Obama administration has reached out to the Brotherhood since it swept to power in parliamentary elections last year, officials have expressed serious concerns, echoed by Egypt’s secularists, that the Islamist group would impose Islamic laws, which could threaten the rights of women and religious minorities such as Coptic Christians.
Although the Freedom and Justice Party represents the more pragmatic wing of the movement, it is finding itself at odds with the more fundamentalist al-Nour party, whose Salafist interpretation of Islam won a quarter of votes in last year's parliamentary elections.
The Brotherhood, one U.S. official noted has a history of evolving over time and is “now redefining itself,” which raises the question “do they really know themselves, who they are today?”
In his appearances this week, the delegation sought to ease concerns that the party was planning to implement Sharia law. Dardery stressed the Brotherhood believes in a constitution based on “Sharia principles, not Sharia rulings.”
U.S. concerns about Sharia were further heightened by the Brotherhood’s decision to field a candidate in the country’s presidential elections beginning next month. The party had promised not to field a candidate, but changed course citing threats to democracy from the military council.
The U.S. also is anxious to ensure a Brotherhood-led government would abide by the 1979 Camp David peace treaty with Israel. Several of the group’s leaders have promised to put the accords to a referendum, but Dardery said the Brotherhood would respect “all international agreements,” including the Camp David Accords.
This delegation in town this week met with Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Assistant Secretary Jeff Feltman, as well as members of Congress.
But their meetings at the White House were a sensitive topic. White House spokesman Jay Carney downplayed the talks, saying the representatives met with “midlevel” officials from the National Security Council.
Carney, however acknowledged the group’s new strategic influence, saying "the Muslim Brotherhood will play a prominent role in Egypt's life going forward.”
“Because of the fact that Egypt’s political landscape has changed, the actors have become more diverse and our engagement reflects that,” he said. “The point is that we will judge Egypt’s political actors by how they act, not by their religious affiliation.”
The United States must also balance longstanding ties with Egypt’s military with the need to build a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood as they both jockey for power and feel their way through Egypt’s political transition.
“There is no question that the Muslim Brotherhood’s decision to nominate a candidate is a challenge” to the military, one U.S. official said. “But the challenge is at the core of democracy – its how both groups conduct themselves that will tell us how democracy plays out in Egypt.”
While trying to allay American fears about their political ambitions, the Brotherhood representatives also wanted to send the message that Egypt is open for business. The Brotherhood desperately needs to funding and investment to short up Egypt’s economy, which is teetering on collapse.
The Brotherhood also wants to turn the corner on the case against American pro-democracy groups. The military council’s decision to prosecute the groups prompted outrage by members of Congress and threats to withhold US aid. In an interview with CNN, Dardery called the military’s treatment of NGO’s “a mistake” from start to finish, and said they would be welcomed back in Egypt, provided they respected a soon-to-be-passed law which will govern their work in the country.
Mutual suspicion by both the United States and the Brotherhood is likely to endure for some time. The Brotherhood delegation this week said while it wanted a partnership with America, but that the days of the United States buying Egyptian acquiescence are over. U.S. officials recognize the need to engage the Brotherhood, but will judge them not on their democratic election, but whether they bring democracy to Egypt.
“We don’t know these guys,” one senior official said. “We can’t see into their souls like President Bush did with (Russian President Vladmir) Putin. We have to judge them on what they do.”

Assad crackdown turning peaceful Syrians into terrorists?

REUTERS / Shaam News Network / Handout
Smoke rises from Bab Sabaa neighborhood of Homs on Monday.
Syrian President Bashar Assad’s deadly crackdown on opposition to his regime is turning once peaceful protesters into “terrorist people,” an activist hiding in a city shattered by an army bombardment told msnbc.com.
Sami Ibrahim, of the Syrian Network for Human Rights, was reacting to an open letter written by New York-based Human Rights Watch, claiming opposition members were carrying human rights abuses such as kidnappings, torture and executions.
Ibrahim spoke Tuesday by satellite phone from Homs, a rebel stronghold until it was hit by a sustained bombardment by government troops, forcing the Free Syrian Army to withdraw earlier this month. More >>

Obama Terrorism Advisor’s Book Confuses and Distorts

FrontPage/ by

Reading CDR Youssef Aboul-Enein’s book, Militant Islamist IdeologyUnderstanding the Global Threat, published by the Naval Institute Press (2010), one can see why U.S. leadership is far from “understanding the global threat”; why the Obama administration is supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood; and why so many U.S. politicians rose up in condemnation when one obscure pastor threatened to burn a Koran.
According to the jacket cover, Aboul-Enein is “a top adviser at the Joint Intelligence Task Force for Combating Terrorism” and “has advised at the highest levels of the defense department and intelligence community.”
What advice does he give?
He holds that, whereas “militant Islamists” (e.g., al-Qaeda) are the enemy, “non-militant Islamists” (e.g., the Muslim Brotherhood), are not: “It is the Militant Islamists who are our adversary. They represent an immediate threat to the national security of the United States. They must not be confused with Islamists.”
This theme, sometimes expressed in convoluted language—at one point we are urged to appreciate the “nuanced” differences “between Militant Islamists and between Militant Islamists and Islamists”—permeates the book. More >>

The New Egypt: We Will Never Recognize Israel

FrontPageMag/ by

The Islamists, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, are poised to take control of the newly elected Egyptian parliament. As they consolidate their power internally, the Muslim Brotherhood-led Islamists will likely turn Egypt into a hotbed of jihadism against anything non-Muslim, taking direct aim at the Jewish state of Israel.
Last winter, as the Egyptian people were rising up against President Hosni Mubarak, Muhammad Ghannem, a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, told the Arabic-language Iranian news network Al-Alam:
The people should be prepared for war against Israel. The Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.
Muslim Brotherhood deputy leader Dr Rashad Bayoumi started off 2012 with a belligerent interview published in the Arabic daily al-Hayat, in which he insisted that his organization will not recognize Israel “under any circumstance.” Bayoumi added that “we do not recognize Israel at all. [Israel is] an occupying criminal enemy.”
Bayoumi’s declaration came less than a week after the Muslim Brotherhood, which gave birth to Hamas, hosted Hamas’s Gaza leader Ismail Haniyeh with a warm welcome at the Muslim Brotherhood’s Cairo area headquarters. This was Haniyeh’s first trip outside of Gaza since Hamas took over Gaza by force in 2007. He milked every ounce of anti-Israel propaganda that he could from the visit. As quoted by Egypt’s state news agency MENA, Haniyeh declared:
Our presence with the Brotherhood threatens the Israeli entity.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s Supreme Guide Mohammed Badei, who greeted Haniyeh, engaged in a mutual admiration session with Haniyeh during their meeting. Badei went so far as to extol the Muslim Brotherhood offspring Hamas for now serving as its parent’s role model.
During a joint press conference, as reported in the Jerusalem Post, the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas leaders had this chummy exchange:  More >>

The Year We Lost Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia and Most of the Middle East

FrontPageMag/ by

About the only people having a Happy New Year in the Muslim world aren’t the Christians who are huddling and waiting out the storm, but the Islamists who use a different calendar, but are having the best time of their lives since the last Caliphate.
The news that the Obama Administration has brought in genocidal Muslim Brotherhood honcho Yusuf Al-Qaradawi to discuss terms of surrender for the transfer of Afghanistan to the Taliban caps a year in which the Brotherhood and the Salafists are looking to carve up Egypt, the Islamists won Tunisia’s elections, Turkey’s Islamist AKP Party purged the last bastions of the secular opposition and Libya’s future as an Islamist state was secured by American, British and French jets and special forces.
Time Magazine declared that 2011 was the Year of the Protester, they might have more honestly called it the Year of the Islamist. In 2010 the Taliban were still hiding in caves. In 2012 they are set to be in power from Tunisia to Afghanistan and from Egypt to Yemen. They won’t go by that name of course. Most of them will have elaborate names with the words “Justice” or “Community” in them, but they will for the most part be minor variations on the Muslim Brotherhood theme.
2011 will indeed be remembered, but not because of any Arab Spring or OWS nonsense. It will be a pivotal year in the rise of the next Caliphate. A rise disguised by angry protesters waving cell phones and flags. And clueless media coverage that treated Tahrir Square as the new fall of the Berlin Wall.
This was the year that Obama helped topple several regimes that served as the obstacles to Islamist takeovers. The biggest fish that Ibn Hussein speared out of the sea for Al-Qaradawi was Egypt, a prize that the Islamists had wanted for the longest time, but had never managed to catch. That is until the Caliph-in-Chief got it for them. Egyptian Democracy splits the take between the Brotherhood and the Salafists, whom the media is already quick to describe as moderates. First up against the wall are the Christians. Second up against the wall are the Jews. Third up is all that military equipment we provided to the Egyptian military which will shortly be finding its way to various “moderate militants” who want to discuss our foreign policy with us.  More >>

(el-alto-sueño);

le pidieron las piernas

duras y nudosas

¿No me envidias?”.

Has sufrido mucho, hombre, entra, te has ganado el cielo.
