Elier Bourzac puts a finger to his lips. There are things he can’t talk about. Things he won’t talk about. He has family in Cuba, a father, a mother, a grandmother, a little brother, cousins and uncles and aunts.
An entire life, and one that he will not be going home to ever again after making the decision, along with four other dancers from the Cuban National Ballet, to walk away from the company — and their country — after a pair of performances in Montreal last month.
