World Bank chief Robert Zoellick will step down

The World Bank announced Wednesday that its top official Robert Zoellick would leave his post when his five-year term expires on June 30th.

Zoellick said in a statement, “I’m very pleased that when the world needed the Bank to step up, our shareholders responded with expanded resources and support for key reforms that made us quicker, more effective and more open.”
