The University of Michigan will sponsor Cuba trip for alumni

Detroit Free Press/
The University of Michigan Alumni Association was awarded a license from the U.S. Treasury Department to offer trips to Cuba, the university announced last week.
The Obama administration eased travel restrictions on Cuba earlier this year. But there are many limitations, and only groups are allowed.
The U-M trips are set for March 19-26 and March 26-April 2. A maximum of 36 people is allowed on each trip.
Travelers are limited to U-M alumni, family and friends. The price is $3,845 per person.
Other groups have licenses for travel to Cuba, too. The largest is Insight Cuba, www.insightcuba.com.
