Friday was meant to symbolise a day of unity in Egypt's Tahrir Square. Instead, it turned into a show of disunity between the country's different political groups.Liberals opted out of the protests, accusing the Islamic parties of betrayal, and of hijacking their revolution.
While the speeches in Tahrir Square talked of solidarity with the Liberals, the views of some in the crowd were far from moderate.
