Libya: Rebels 'cleansed' from key town

But Westerns countries are still seating on a cloud.

BENGHAZI, Libya — Rebel fighters were falling back from the key oil town of Brega Sunday after it was attacked by government troops, witnesses said.

Libyan state television claimed that Brega had been "cleansed from armed gangs" by Moammar Gadhafi's forces. Libyan TV has issued faulty reports claiming territory in the past.

Gadhafi has been swiftly advancing on the poorly equipped and loosely organized rebels who had seized much of the country.
